I Phoney

As I've been apparently late in commenting on Steve Job's newest masterpiece, something else came out worth writing about.....

We've all been OOHing and AAAHHing the recent news about the MP3/Video Player (slash) Phone (slash) Mobile PC (slash) another tool for my boss to contact me (slash) Something I can't live without, the IPhone, a particularly innovative (and subversive?) manufacturing company took hold of the design and apparently came up with their own model!?

Check out the Meizu M8 by Meizu

Sweeeeet!!!

3-inch 720×480 pixel screen, 3 megapixel camera, 57×105x11.5-mm dimensions and it even boasts 3G capability!

Well, this device hasn't been released yet, but it will hit the shelves a lot earlier before the IPhone rolls out.

If that ain't your cup o' tea, maybe you'd like to peruse some other products which you may find useful. I myself am pretty fed-up with all the IPhone hoopla!

yukyuk, ...IRol accessory

After which you'd need this..

PMSL

I recently received an email stating that this would make my day, therefore, it wouldn't hurt to spread some of the joy.

Check this link out: http://www.nouptime.com/
A few excerpts:

"24/8 Phone SupportOur phones are always on all 8 days of the week. Operators are standing by to put you on hold the minute you call. "

"Hosting Websites Since 1969!"

"Deleting your files since 1994"

"Clusters and Scalability If your websites go down we'll make sure to confuse you with technical terms and instructions. It's our job to keep you aggravated, and we never disappoint."

"Our Linux Free BSD systems are at the forefront of modern technology. By merging several distributions of Linux into one, we were able to create an operating system so complicated we don't even know how to use it ourselves."

I loved the interaction with the support page, and the voting list
I've seen a few comments I found on Digg, You can check it all out here

And, if you are interested in finding out the genius behind this masterpiece, click here http://www.stanleyshilov.com/

Word of advice, don't click on the link http://www.crashie.com/
This would crash your IE browsers

Peerflux on the Rise

I've a brother in a PR agency who incessantly talks about an interesting account he was trying to secure. If he thinks this client is worth mercilessly fighting for, it must be into something big. - think YouTube big!

I admit, I'm prone to unusual bouts of curiousity, therefore I booted up my ol' trusty laptop, and sifted thru my IM friends to find the lowdown on this company.

Based on vague tidbits, this is what I summise;

- Peerflux is a new startup, entering the playing field last '06

- Their site is still under construction. Adding to the suspense...

- Yes, it is a California company, headquarters in San Francisco, so expect them to be as aggressive as their local counterparts

- I've yet to catch the buzz on their VC partners, apparently they seem to be self-funded.

- Correction...WELL Funded!

-Peerflux Inc seems to be strangely secretive about their new project. Scant sources say that the working name for this web service is somewhat called "Web-Fu", or "i-Fu". -yeah, I know, visions of Bruce Lee moves on the internet....first impression..I may be wrong...

All in all, I have yet to hear more about the company's apparent reputation:

It does help to DIGG deeper into what they've been cooking up for the past few weeks, but alas, nothing public on them yet.

With absolute regard to the project " -Fu", will we expect an instructional site catering to Close-Contact Sports?! shouldnt't have watched that stupid Kung-Pow movie before writing this

The world awaits....
